Basketball tournament

Last friday there was a basketball tournament for all students in gym. Because of illness, I was no able to participate. I have however talked to a classmate who was there, Nora Grue.
The basketball tournament lasted for 3 hours on friday morning and the girls played against each other and the boys played against each other. They were sorted in different groups by the teachers and then different matches took place. At the end of the day when everyone had played against each other, everyone was exhausted. Even though they where tired, they had had a good time and I am sad that I couldnt participate.
The school normaly organises different tournaments for the students. This is a fun activity since you get to do something else instead of having normal lessions during one day!

Football match at SSB!

Today the gym girl's football team played a match against the girl team of St. Johns International School. They played here att the school and some friends and I went to support our friends! I am happy to say that after an exciting match, the SSB girls won with 5-1.
The girls football team is one of many sportsgroups at the school. You have a big range of different activities to chose from and I am planning to blog more about the sports school and which sports activities there are to chose from.

SSB Lucia choir

Time really goes fast here at SSB. Last friday rehearsal for the Lucia choir started. I have been singing in this choir for many years now and always find it as a fun activity since you can sing and hang out with friends. During a few days in december we go around to different companies, performing around 10 shows. Last year we visited among others EU and NATO. It is very educative for your muscial skills since you learn how to sing in groups and how to perform infront of a big croud.
If you are interested in the culture school at SSB, you can read more about it and keep up to date by following the music teacher, Henrik Thureson's blog here.
The picture below is from one of our shows last year.
